hatch
An experiment to bootstrap production-ready SaaS applications from user stories.
Hatch tested the idea of turning user stories directly into application scaffolds. The useful parts are now being redistributed into Stack, Shulkerbox, and Idea.
User stories can become implementation too quickly and too literally. Hatch explored that edge, then exposed which parts belonged in a broader product-building system.
- Recent commit added a soft tombstone instead of deleting the experiment.
- The tombstone maps salvaged content to Stack, Shulkerbox, and Idea.
- README now redirects readers to the preserved decision record.
- Shows willingness to retire an approach cleanly when the architecture changes.
- Keeps learning visible through a tombstone rather than hiding the pivot.
- Contributed scaffolding ideas to the current product-system repos.
Use the tombstone as a public decision record while the useful pieces move into the new system.
