Kilocode on my keys, and in Slack

Putting Kilocode on my keys and in Slack — a workflow experiment.

Two things started working this morning.

Kilocode is now consuming my own API tokens — BYOK, end to end. The Kilocode bot is also live in Slack. Neither was running yesterday. Both are running today.

BYOK, finally

I've been sitting on this one for a while. I already have the API keys — I'd rather burn my own tokens than sit under someone else's subscription ceiling. This morning it flipped from "wired up in theory" to "actually running on my keys".

Progress doesn't need to be glamorous to count.

Bot in Slack

The other piece is the Kilocode bot in Slack. I can talk to it from the place I'm already talking to everyone else — one less tab, one less context switch, one less "I'll get to that later" tax on a workflow I actually want to use.

Put the tooling in the channel you already live in. Friction down, habit up.

What's next

Two things that were theoretical are now running. The next job is to use them hard enough to find out what breaks.

More when it breaks.
